Katherine Milburn

Katherine Irene (Billman) Milburn, 86, of Machesney Park passed away peacefully Sunday, January 9, 2022, in her home.  She was one of 12 children born to Frank and Flossie May (Huddleston) Billman on August 29, 1935, in Caledonia.  Married Howard Milburn on November 13, 1952, in Rockford.  Employed by Prange Way for 3 years.  She loved just being a mom and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Katherine was a foster mom for many years.  She enjoyed country music and concerts.  Survivors include her husband, Howard; sons, Robert (Terri) Milburn, Mike Milburn, and Chris (Karen) Milburn; daughter, Luanne (David) Schafer; grandchildren, Corey (Angela) Milburn, Kelly Milburn, Courtney Milburn, Kyle (Jessica) Milburn, Matt Schafer, and Tim (Michelle Brown) Schafer; great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Brooklyn, Genevieve, Berkley, Annie, Emmett, and John Thomas Milburn, and Jemma Larson; sisters-in-law, Mickey Billman and Norma Billman; several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents; grandson, Adam Milburn; several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Service at noon Friday, January 21, 2022, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 11 a.m. to service time.  Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
