Karolyn Elizabeth Lund, 78, of Loves Park, IL, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in her home. Born November 29, 1943, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Leslie and Eva Mayborne. She married Ronald “Ron” Lund on June 5, 1965, in Rockford. Owned and operated Thrifty Boutique for more than 35 years. Active member of Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, Gulf Shores, Fort Myers Beach, Bible studies, all things Disney and watching the Hallmark channel. Survivors include her husband, Ron; son, Dan Lund; daughter, Kathy Lund; grandchildren, Carson and Mason; sister-in-law, Terri Mayborne; and nieces, Kim and Jenny. Predeceased by her parents; and brother, Mike Mayborne.
Memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Avenue, Loves Park, with memorial visitation from 9 a.m. to service time. Cremation rites accorded. Please join the family for an outdoor barbecue at the family home in celebration of Karolyn. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
