Julie Girard

Julie Kay (Zawlocki) Girard, 62, of Rockford passed away Monday, July 19, 2021, in Alden Debes, after a short illness.  Born September 6, 1958, in Rockford, the daughter of Anthony J. “Tony” and Evelyn “Evie” (Allbee) Zawlocki.  Graduated from Boylan High School and Illinois State University.  Julie was a successful marketing recruiter for 30 years in Dallas, Texas.  After retiring, she moved back to Rockford to be near her family and friends.  Julie had a love for music and sports.  She attended many concerts and never missed a Jimmy Buffet event.  Big fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs.  Survivors include her brother, Mike (Joan) Zawlocki; sister, Pat Zawlocki; nephew, Matt (April) Zawlocki; niece, Jill (Michael) Vicencio; one uncle; numerous aunts, cousins, and friends.  Predeceased by her parents; one aunt; uncles; and nephew, Jeremy Zawlocki.

Private family services will be held.  Cremation rites accorded.  Inurnment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago.  Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
