Judith M. Snively, 82, of Caledonia, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee, WI. Her positivity during her two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer was an inspiration to everyone around her. Born February 20, 1942, in Hinsdale, IL, the daughter of George and Marie (Seiler) Rungger. She married Bruce Snively on June 13, 1964, after graduating from Northern Illinois University in 1964. She taught home economics in the Harlem District at Marshall Middle School for two years, before becoming a stay-at-home mother as well as assisting with the family business. She traveled on road trips as a kid with her parents all over the U.S. Judy loved taking her girls swimming and Sunday night family dinner at their grandparents’ house. Later in life, she traveled with her family attending Evinrude dealer meetings in Nashville, Tennessee, Minnesota, and Idaho. She enjoyed visiting her parents in Downers Grove during the summer and many weekend trips with her family. She loved her horses, cats, dogs, and would adopt stray animals. Judy looked forward to annual visits with her sister. She was always known as the horseshow, homeroom, 4-H and Brownie mom. Survivors include her husband, Bruce; daughters, Jodi (Greg) Appelgren, Shelly (Mike) Osborne, Deanna (Brian) Ament, and Krista (John) Daubert; sister, Karen (Rod) Hiddleston; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces; one nephew; numerous cousins; many loving friends. Celebration of Life, with casual attire requested, will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Sam's On Harlem, 1031 Harlem Rd., Machesney Park, IL. Cremation rites accorded. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Froedtert Clinical Cancer Center (Grace Clinic).
