Judith "Judy" Merrifield

Judith “Judy” A. Merrifield, 76, of Loves Park passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017, in Amberwood Care Center. Born September 6, 1940, in Rockford, the daughter of Robert B. and Wanda M. (LaFontaine) Blankenship.  Married H. David Merrifield on May 30, 1997, in Galena.  Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1958.  Formerly employed at Park State Bank and Ingersoll Milling Machine Co.  Member of Grace Lutheran Church.  Judy was on a bowling league for many years bowling at Park Lanes.  Survivors include her sons, Michael (Tammy) Russell and Kip Richards; stepsons, Chad Merrifield and Jacob Merrifield; grandchildren, Andrea (Jon Kenny) Bridgeland, Kayla (Alex) Moen, Hannah Merrifield and Chad Merrifield; special grandson, Danny Ward; great-grandchildren, Elijah Kenny, Dylan Moen and Katelyn Moen; sister, Diane (Tim Larson) Kruse; brother, Steve (Sandie) Blankenship; nephew, Tim Blankenship; and niece, Tracie (Mike) Redisi.  Predeceased by her parents; husband; and brother-in-law, Harvey Kruse.

Service at 1 p.m. Friday, March 17, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from noon to service time. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
