Judith A. Dover, 80, of Beloit, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, in Javon Bea Hospital. Born January 17, 1941, in Roscoe, Illinois, the daughter of Burnette John and Elizabeth Agnes (Garrity) Swanson. Previously employed by Elco Tool and retired from Garrette Allied Signal. Member of Firstborn Ministries in Loves Park, Illinois. Judith loved spending time with family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always on the move and never met a stranger. Judith loved animals, swinging in the front yard, being out in the sun, playing bingo, playing the slots, helping people, and going out to eat with friends and family. She was a very spiritual person who enjoyed attending church at Firstborn Ministries. Survivors include her daughters, Laura Lynn Knutsen and Darla Ann Northern; grandchildren, Neil (Megan) Brandt, Nathan (Joanna) Knutsen, Ashley (Andy) Cronin, Brittany (Seath Walker) Dover, Dustin Johnson, Devyn (Mike) Roberts, Landis Mallory and Berkley Mallory; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; sisters, Julia Heckman, Linda Livingston, and Dixie Claeyssen; brother, Paul Swanson; close friend, Berneil Jamieson; and feline friend, Joy. Predeceased by her parents; mother- and father-in-law, Ora Allen and Robert Dover; brothers, David Swanson, and Danny Swanson; sister, Mary Lou Bryant; and cat, Little Bit.
Graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Walk through visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
