Juanita G. Heidenreich, 99, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, of Belvidere, IL, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, in her daughter’s home. Born December 15, 1924, in Greenup, IL, the daughter of Harold and Geraldine (Jiles) Jackson. Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1942. Married Harold L. Heidenreich on May 11, 1945, in Ft. Smith, AR. Worked in retail sales for more than 40 years, including 17 years at Rockford Dry Goods and 20 years at Prange’s. Longtime member of Bethany Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Bethany Women’s Association. She and her husband farmed in the Winnebago and Boone County area for many years. Juanita had many interests, but her number one priority was always her family. Survivors include her children, Betty Hill, Linda (Glenn) Smith, and Donald (Wendy) Heidenreich; grandchildren, Terry Hill, Jarrod (Erin) Smith, Michael Heidenreich, and Lesley (Curt) Macki; great-grandchildren, Addison, Brody, and Levi Smith, Micaiah, and Alainah Macki, Jessie Whipp, and Donovan Heidenreich; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband; grandson, Richard Heidenreich; sisters, Ileen Schwebke, and Lora Smith; brother, Howard Jackson; and son-in-law, Tom Hill. The family wishes to thank Northern Illinois Hospice for their loving care.
Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
