Joyce Ridlbauer

Joyce Carol Ridlbauer, 92, of Rockton passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, in Highview in the Woodlands.  Born July 9, 1929, in Peoria, the daughter of Henry Gustav and Caroline Matilda (Krause) Wenzel.  Joyce attended the Methodist School of Nursing in Peoria, graduating as a registered nurse in 1951.  She married Charles J. Ridlbauer on March 24, 1951, in Peoria.  Employed by River Bluff Nursing Home for 17 years, retiring in 1988.  Member of Grace Lutheran Church.  Joyce loved to travel and take river cruises in Europe.  Survivors include her sons, Michael Ridlbauer and Steven (Candy) Ridlbauer; daughter, Lori (Bill) Roderick; grandchildren, Jeremy (Christina) Ridlbauer, Kelly (Jason) Drought, Kristi Ragsdale, Katelyn Ridlbauer, Henry Roderick, and George Roderick; great-grandchildren, Karli Ragsdale, Conner Ragsdale, Tyberius Ridlbauer and Lena Ridlbauer; sisters, Donna Johnson, Nancy Knoll, and Linda Wenzel; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents; husband, Charles on November 17, 2020; several aunts and uncles; and infant grandson, Eli Roderick.

Funeral service for Joyce and memorial service for Charles will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation and memorial visitation from noon to service time.  Services will be livestreamed on Facebook.  Private entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors for Charles.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Grace Lutheran Church or Augustana Eli William Roderick Scholarship Fund, Augustana College, 639 38th Street, Rock Island, IL 61201.
