Joyce Nemecek

Joyce C. Nemecek, 80, of Rockford passed away Friday, July 10, 2020, in Presence St. Anne Center. Born July 19, 1939, in Chicago, the daughter of Edwin C. and Ruth (Jadro) Nemecek. Employed by NBC in Chicago for many years, retiring in the early 1970s. Attended Holy Family Catholic Church. She was a writer and published several romance novels based on true stories under the pen name of Joyce Vetrette. Survivors include her brother, Jim Nemecek; and nephew, Michael (Jessica) Nemecek. Predeceased by her parents.

Private graveside inurnment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., of Loves Park.
