Joyce L. Fehler, 82, of Loves Park passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019, in Javon Bea Hospital. Born November 21, 1936, in Zion, the daughter of James Eckles and Ruby Cornelius (Schmidt) Myers. Married Donn A. Fehler. Formerly employed by Dusty Shelf Ceramics and Warner Lambert. Member of First Baptist Church of Machesney Park where she taught the Awanas Group and Sunday School. She enjoyed cooking and doing anything to help with all church events. She loved gardening, history, traveling, birds, nature and anything on “God’s Palette”. Most of all, she loved her family, sweets and laughing. She seemed very quiet and straight laced but had a sharp sense of humor and was smart as a whip. Survivors include her children, Charyl (Tim) Fehler, Scott (Cathy) Kerr, Deanna Anderson, Melanie Kerr-Dalen, Tim Fehler, Sheri (Gary) Fehler and Todd (Juli) Fehler; grandchildren, Christopher (Mandy), Jennifer (Steven), Meggan (Bryan), Holly (Jamie), Tina (Matt), Erica (Jake), Karrisa (Patrick), Monica (Rhett), Travis, Aryn (Drew), Paige (Jake), Casey and Evan; great-grandchildren, Owen, Corben, Michael, Presten, Peyton, Lily, Landon, Elliot, Ilyanna, Alida, Emmie, Lennex, Barrett, Aven, Ryder, Levi and Jack; sister, Virginia Adams; brother, Jared (Betty) Myers; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Donn Fehler; grandchildren, Gredel and Jordan; sisters, Coralee (E.G.) and Sherilyn; brothers, William and Gene.
Memorial service at 2 p.m. Monday, November 4, in First Baptist Church of Machesney Park, 718 Harlem Road, Machesney Park. Inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., of Loves Park.
