Jon F. Krueger, 35, of Loves Park, IL, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Swedish American Health. Born August 9, 1988, in Rockford, IL, the son of David Krueger and Evelyn L. (Meyer) Krueger. Jon was happiest when he listened to music. Especially when he attended church and heard the organs play. Lifelong Green Bay Packer fan. He had a special eye for the nurses that took care of him. Jon loved being outside, and especially attending the Lions Clubs fishing days yearly with his family. Jon was very fond of his father’s soothing voice. He always smiled and anyone that met him fell in love with him. Survivors include his father, David (Trina) Krueger; mother, Evelyn Krueger; grandmothers, Noreen Krueger and Ruth Meyer; siblings, Karl Krueger, Julia (fiancé, Joe Abene) Anderson, and Christian Krueger; nephew, Myles; niece, Nora; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by his brother, Nicholas Krueger; grandfathers, Wallace Krueger and Garth Meyer; uncles, Douglas Krueger, and John “Jr.” McCord. Special thanks to the staff at Walter Lawsons Children’s Home for their lifelong loving care, especially to Pam Lewis for putting her heart and soul into planning family activities.
Memorial service at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Riverside Community Church, 6816 North 2nd Street, Machesney Park, IL. Cremation rites accorded. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Memorials to Walter Lawson Children’s Home.
