John L. Wyatt, 85, of Rockford passed away peacefully Monday, July 4, 2022, in his home. Born December 2, 1936, in Talladega, AL, the son of Melvin and Clara (Fulmer) Wyatt. Veteran, serving in the U.S. Marines. Married Jeanne M. Morris. Formerly employed by Chrysler Corp., and retired from J. B. Hunt in 2002, where he was awarded the Million Mile Safety Award. John was a proud farmer, avid golfer, and gardener. He enjoyed working on cars and traveling. Survivors include his daughters, Susan (Dean) Werner of Talladega, and Kari (Craig Taylor) Wyatt of Rockford; sister, Sylvia (J.T.) Smelley of Gardendale, AL; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; 4 brothers; 1 sister.
As per his request, his ashes will be placed alongside his wife at Riverside Community Church Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home.
