John Morris

John H. Morris, 67, of Machesney Park passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Born June 12, 1950, in Bearden, AR, the son of C. J. and Glorine (Rideout) Morris.  Formerly employed by Erickson Metal for 19 years.  John enjoyed playing dominos.  He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.  John was a fan of sports, especially basketball, football and was an avid Chicago sports fan.  Survivors include, Colette Purifoy Morris; sons, Brian Purifoy, Roderick Whyte, Jerome Whyte and Derek Whyte; stepchildren, Andre Purifoy and Conswello Purifoy; 15 grandchildren.  Predeceased by his parents.

Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 21, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  A memorial will be established.
