John "Jack" Hayenga

John “Jack” G. Hayenga, 92, of De Kalb, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020, in Oak Crest Retirement Center. Born April 1, 1928, in Dearborn, Michigan, the son of John J. and Viola (Gann) Hayenga. Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Married Margaret “Pat” P. Newell on April 19, 1951, in South Beloit. Employed by Twin Disc Inc. for more than 40 years. Jack loved golfing, yardwork, and woodworking. Avid sports fan and lifelong Cubs fan. Survivors include his children, Raymond (Louisa) Hayenga, Gail Hayenga and Tom Hayenga; grandchildren, Andrew Hayenga, Allison (Patrick) Roe and Glenn (Mary) Stratton; great-grandchildren, Joseph Stratton, Tessa Stratton and Simon Hayenga; sister, Shirley Brix; brother-in-law, Peter Newell; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife and son, Phillip Hayenga.

Private graveside services will be held at Roscoe Township Cemetery, Roscoe. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park.
