John Carratt

John F. Carratt, 68, of South Beloit passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021, with his family by his side.  Born August 4, 1953, in Joliet, the son of Dennis and Rosemary (McClure) Carratt.  John grew up in the town of New Milford and served briefly in the military.  He was a linesman and finished his career working for Tan Books and Publishing.  Anyone that knew John would agree that he was always there when you needed him, he had a way of bringing laughter to any situation and was a friend to all.  John was an outdoorsman who loved life to the fullest.  He enjoyed cookouts, pheasant hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.  Survivors include his son, John (Nicole) Carratt; daughters, Amy Carratt, and Jessica Lindquist; grandchildren, Dominic, Audrey, Christian, Emma, Haylie, and Isabella.  John was predeceased by his parents who greatly influenced his life.

Memorial service at 3 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2021, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 2 p.m. to service time.  Cremation rites accorded.
