John H. “J.B.” Burright, 59, of Rockford, IL, was called home Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Born July 6, 1964, in Mendota, IL, the son of Leon C. and Helen Joyce (Dierwechter) Burright. Graduated from Mendota High School, Class of 1982, and from Illinois State University in 1990. He married Rhonda R. Hurst on October 5, 1991, in Pekin, IL. Formerly employed by Rockford Health Systems and most recently at Monroe (WI) Hospital. Member of Beth Eden United Methodist Church. J.B. enjoyed trains, fire trucks, car shows, and crossword puzzles. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Survivors include his wife, Rhonda; twin children, Joshua Burright and Jessica Burright, all of Rockford; mother, Joyce Burright of Mendota; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Murphy of Peoria, IL; brother, James Burright of Rockford; sisters, Peggy (Bob) Etheridge of Peru, IL, and Mary (Mark) Stoskopf of Wilton, IA; sister-in-law, Monica Hurst of Peoria; brother-in-law, Bryan (Heather) Hurst of Pekin; stepmother-in-law, Karen Hurst; several nieces and nephews; and loving fur baby, Loki. Predeceased by his father, Leon Burright; sisters-in-law, Linda Burright and Lucy Burright; and father-in-law, Ronald Hurst.

Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Beth Eden United Methodist Church, 3201 Huffman Blvd., Rockford, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Cremation rites accorded. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
