Joe Brittain

Joe L. Brittain, 57, of Rockford passed away Monday, January 7, 2019, in his home. Born April 12, 1961, in Rockford, the son of Billie J. and Faye (Stanley) Brittain. Survivors include his children, Amanda Cross, Stephanie (Shane) Clift, Courtney (Chris Pinson) Brittain, Joey (Sarah Pawlak) Brittain, James (Gaby) Wallis and Amanda (Kyle) Swanson; grandchildren, Tyler, Cisalie, Linnea, Axel, Sami, Jordan, Christopher, Quintin, Kaiden, Amara, Reece, Ayden, Elijah, James Jr., Terry, Amelia, Moses, Alyssa and Parker; great-granddaughter, Kaycee; sister, Allie (George) Allen; brother, Steve (Jennifer) Brittain; sister-in-law, Cindy Brittain; foster brothers, Steve (Cindy) Davis and Gene (Diana) Bray; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend, Mabel. Predeceased by his parents, Billie and Faye; and brothers, Tommy and Billy. Joe was a man who loved his children, grandchildren and family. He was a friend to everyone he met and would help anyone in need.

Service at 3 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 2 p.m. to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for a memorial to be established.
