Our beloved wife, mother, sister, nana and great-nana, Joanne Marie Ghinazzi, 86, of Rockford passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017. Born July 10, 1931, in Rockford, daughter of Carl and Virginia (Pierzchalski) Rzeszetko. Married the love of her life Orlando (Chic) Ghinazzi on April 26, 1952. They enjoyed over 65 years of a beautiful marriage together. Her whole life centered on her family. For over those 65 years, she spent every minute doing what she loved, caring for her family. If she was not preparing for the next holiday gathering, she was counting the days to the next family birthday or anniversary, which she never missed. Needless to say, family was always on her mind, in the church or at home. The highlight of each year was to be surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at Christmas. She was a dedicated member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Polish Princesses and St. Stanislaus Prayer Group. Survivors include her beloved husband, Chic; sons, Craig (Connie) Ghinazzi, Scott (Karen) Ghinazzi and Timm Ghinazzi; daughter-in-law, Stephanie (Jeff) (Ghinazzi) Ritter; brother, Ronald (Carole) Rezetko; grandchildren, Nicole Ghinazzi, Jason Ghinazzi, Jacob Ghinazzi, Jonathan (Katy) Ghinazzi, Anne Ghinazzi, Tom (Deanna) Ghinazzi, Kathryn (Brenton) Wirth, Laura Ghinazzi, Joseph Ghinazzi, Alex Ghinazzi and Kaelynn Ghinazzi; great-grandchildren, Angelina, Gianna, Hunter, Easton, Lilianna, Shiloh, Samuel and Lydia; special cousin, Bernadette Furon; and special friend, Marie Perrecone. Predeceased by her son, Todd and parents. Special thanks to the Staff at P.A. Peterson and Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care of Chic and Joanne, especially her angels, Keisha and Celena. We have all gained a beautiful angel and are forever blessed with memories. We love you to the moon and back!
