Joan “Joni” Theresa Borgen-Hutson, 85, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Oregon Living and Rehabilitation Center. Born January 7, 1940, in Rockford, the daughter of Arthur R. and Theresa A. (Fochs) Hauser. She married Robert Borgen on June 14, 1958, in Rockford. She then married William R. Hutson on April 19, 1969, in Rockford. Formerly employed by Greenlee Textron for 21 years and retired from Camcar Textron after 13 years. Member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and Greenlee Squared Circle. Former director of Greenlee Credit Union. Joni enjoyed western dance, ice skating, roller skating, breakfasts and lunches with the Greenlee girls, and lunches with the Camcar personnel. Survivors include her son, Robert (Tracy) Borgen; stepson, Gary (Crystal) Hutson; grandchildren, Ashley (Alex) Kuehn, Jaclyn Borgen, Richey (Tammy Carly) Hutson, David (Mary) Hutson, and Mark (Aurora) Hutson; great-grandchildren, David (girlfriend, Brianna) Hutson, II, Morgan (Skyler Wolfe) Hutson, Rebecca Patten, and Lainey Kuehn; and seven great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husbands; and brothers, Larry Hauser and Andrew (Donna) Hauser.

Service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 827 16th Street Rockford, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
