Joan Fieldsend, 74, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in her home. Born May 15, 1950, in Clinton, KY, the daughter of Anthony and Ruby (Clark) Campisi. She married Steven A. “Steve” Fieldsend on November 13, 1970, in Rockford. Employed by The Terrace and most recently by Park Towers in Loves Park, IL, as a property manager. Joan enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, shopping and traveling to the Smokey Mountains and Clearwater Beach. Survivors include her son, Paul Fieldsend; grandchildren, Joshua and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Alina, Charlotte, Adalyn, Kyla, and Easton; loving companion, Ray Merkel; brothers, Jeff (Michelle) Campisi and James (Shawn) Campisi; and beloved bundle of energy, Max. Predeceased by her parents; husband; and sister, Nancy. The family wishes to thank St. Croix Hospice and Chris Campisi for their love and support.

Private services will be held with burial in Arlington Memorial Park in Rockford. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL.
