Jessie Cooper

December 3, 1942 — January 3, 2025

Jessie Sue Cooper, 82, of Loves Park, IL, passed on Friday, January 3, 2025, after a short illness. Born December 3, 1942, in Doniphan, MO, the daughter of Jess and Minnie (Hall) Robinson. She married Donald “Don” Cooper on July 7, 1978, in Las Vegas, NV. Employed by Harlem School District for several years. She enjoyed garage sales, bird watching, going out to eat, and driving through the parks. She loved all of her children, grandchildren, and her family. She will be missed by everyone. Jessie and Don had a lot of good times together and I hope to see you later. “I will miss her forever, Don.” Survivors include her husband, Don; sons, Charles P. Darnell; daughter, Lora (Ron) Jensen; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and pets. Predeceased by her parents; sons, Harry and Michael Cooper; daughter, Iva Jane Darnell.

As per her request, there will be no services. Cremation rites accorded. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
