Jerold "Jerry" Norris

Jerold L. Norris, 79, of Machesney Park, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017, in his home.  Born Thursday, August 18, 1938, in Oregon, IL, the son of Paul and Bessie (Smith) Norris.  Married Corrinne McCarty on January 12, 1963, in Loves Park.  Employed for over 50 years as a drywall taper and finisher by several companies, including Rogers Drywall, Superior Drywall and Hall Drywall, as well as running his own drywall company.  Jerry loved auto racing, fishing, hunting, and going to Montello, Wisconsin to a home he built from the ground up.  Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Corrinne; daughter, Michelle (Brian) Daniels; son, Shawn Norris; granddaughter, Caitlin (Justin) Chamberlain; grandsons, Connor Daniels; Gabriel (Maddie) Baldock; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Chamberlain, Mason Baldock, and Camilla Chamberlain; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by parents and brother, Ronald.  Special thanks to Unity Hospice for their care and his loving and kind caregiver, Oleg Lipitskyy.

Service at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 25, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.  Visitation from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
