Janice “Jan” A. Morris, 74, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 4, 2024, in her home. Born February 20, 1950, in Rockford, the daughter of Howard and Bernice (Heise) Wang. Graduated from West High School, Class of 1968. She married Wayne E. Morris on September 13, 1975, in Rockford. Formerly employed by Rockford Memorial Hospital for 10 years and retired in 2003 from Summerdale Grade School after 15 years. Member of North Park Church of Christ, and Forest City Sams Camping Club. Jan enjoyed camping, coloring/painting, and spending time with her family and church family. She enjoyed Hallmark movies, traveling, and Southern Gospel Concerts. Survivors include her husband, Wayne; children, Dan (Jennifer) Morris of Fairview Heights, IL, Becky (Adam) Zomok of Rockford, and David (Rebecca) Morris of Danville, IL; grandchildren, Nathan Morris, Gracie Morris, Hayden Morris, Maddison Zomok, Tyler Zomok, Joshua Morris, Isaiah Morris, and Hannah Morris; great-grandchildren, Liam and Dawson; numerous nieces, nephews, and was known as mom to many other friends. Predeceased by her parents; and brothers, Richard, Terry, and Larry Wang.

Memorial service at noon Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 11 a.m. to service time. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
