Janice Larson

Janice Earlene Larson, 89, of Loves Park, IL, passed away on March 23, 2023. Earlene was born in McClure, IL, on May 30, 1933, daughter of Lloyd and Lillian Marie (Woodard) Cox. Earlene worked at Rockford Screw Products where she met and married Vern Larson on February 16, 1952, in Rockford, IL. She was also Loves Park Elementary School's lunch lady for several years. Earlene was a hard worker and a talented builder/fixer. She enjoyed working in her yard and watching her "stories". She was an excellent cook and enjoyed big family dinners. She is survived by her children, Darla (Russ) Narzinski, Sandy (David) Tucker, Joel (Mary) Larson, and Paula (Nick) Gates; grandchildren, Jerome Daniel, Sarah Narzinski, Krista (Steve) DeHaven, Kelsey (Andrew) Meinert, Joseph (Diane) Gates, Alex (Sara) Tucker, Hannah (Logan) Larson, and Timmy Larson; great-grandchildren, Payton, Chase, Hallie, Reagan, Grace, Troy, Skye, Ethan, Adrian, Dominic, Nicoli, Levi, Lydia, Jayden, and his baby brother; brother, Don Cox; sister, Debbie (Mike) Shepard; and sister-in-law, Jo Cox; special niece, Carol Bjork; and neighbor, Penny Jo Babcock. She is predeceased by her parents; husband, Vern Larson; sister, Shirley Smith; brother, James Cox; daughter, Venita Daniel; and her twin sons.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023, in Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park, IL. A memorial will be established.
