Janet D. (Casaleggi) Dobson-Moore, 82, of Poplar Grove, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Javon Bea Hospital with her loving husband by her side. Born on December 23, 1942, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of John Joseph and Genevieve Marie (Dinelli) Casaleggi. Janet married the love of her life, Patrick M. Moore, on April 15, 1999, in Kalamazoo, MI. She dedicated 26 years of service to National City Bank before retiring in 2003. Janet was an active member of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church and the Boone County Family Food Pantry, giving her time and heart to her community. She found great joy in camping at Jones Lake Campground in Delton, MI, and cherished every moment spent with her family. Affectionately known as “Grandma Michigan,” Janet was famous in her family for her birthday calls-never missing a chance to sing “Happy Birthday” and make her loved ones feel special. She is survived by her devoted husband, Patrick; her children, John Dobson, Jerry Dobson, Donna Neumann and Miranda (Missy Taylor) Moore; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Shawn) Stoneking, Adam (Erica) Dobson, Gretchen (Jackson) Kettner and Alex (Ali Rodriguez) Dobson; and twelve great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces, and her “little sister”, Patty Hagan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law, Steve Neumann. Janet's kindness, humor, and unwavering love will be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Poplar Grove United Methodist Church, 105 East Grove Street, Poplar Grove, IL, with visitation from 11 a.m. to service time. A private graveside service will be held at a later date for family. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL.
