Janelle Auker

Janelle A. Auker, 66, of Rockford was called home Friday, May 14, 2021.  Born October 21, 1954, in Rockford, the daughter of Glenn R. and JoAnn (Hodges) Fadness.  Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1972.  She received her associates degree from Rock Valley College.  Janelle was a Stephen Ministries Leader.  Volunteered for the New American Theater, Kids Around the World, Card Club, Dirty Dozen and School PTA for many years.  Loved floral arranging, gardening, entertaining and cooking was her passion.  Survivors include her children, Nathan Auker of Jupiter, Fla., Kristen (Thomas) Bruscato and Jason Auker, both of Rockford; granddaughters, Kayla, Anastasia and Natalia; brother, Brad (Jan) Fadness of Loves Park; aunt and best friend, Sally (Tom) Swain; niece, Brook Schlichting; nephews, Shane DuPre, Jacques DuPre and Andrew Fadness; numerous cousins.  Predeceased by her parents; sister, Jill DuPre; niece, Michelle DuPre.  Special memorium to her grandmother, Ruth Hodges, who was like a mother to her.

Service at 1 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2021, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. to service time.  Burial in Willwood Burial Park.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
