Jacqueline “Jackie” S. Hessian, 94, of Loves Park, IL, passed away on May 28, 2024. Jackie was born January 21, 1930, in Janesville WI, the daughter of Henry and Hazel (Hovland) Volbrecht. She married John “Jack” Hessian on August 2, 1948. She was a fun and fun-loving person. Not only did she continue to keep up with popular music well into old age, but she also had good taste. She had a few jobs over the years, but her true identity was as a mother and grandmother. Her family was everything. Survivors include her children, Leanne (Paul) Line, Sue (John Dorsey) Hessian, Jackie Hessian, Kelley (Jack Raino) Hessian, and John (Yukiko Tanaka) Hessian; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Marian Press, Lucille Perrigo, Betty Paquette, Ginny Pfeiffer, and Donna Pfeiffer; brother, Al Volbrecht; as well as her dear friend, Cliff Erb. The family is very grateful for the care and kindness of her home healthcare givers, Olive, Melinda and Catrina, Mercy Health Hospice and River Bluff Nursing Home.
Graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, at Oak Hill Cemetery, 1725 North Washington Street, Janesville, WI. A celebration of life will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 5330 Wilderness Trail, Rockford, IL. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
