Jack W. Holmquist, 96, of Rockford, IL, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Siena on Brendenwood. Born April 4, 1927, in Fort Dodge, IA, the son of John and Effie (Housberg) Holmquist. Graduated from the University of Iowa. Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Married Marvella F. Parson. Employed by Nicor in 1962, retiring in 1993. Survivors include his children, Diane “Dede” (Arvel) Eldridge, Robert Holmquist, and Lynn (Thomas) McMahon; two grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife; and daughter, Carrie Holmquist. Special thanks to his caregivers from Visiting Angels.
