J Jesus “Jesse” Carrillo Contreras, 74, of Loves Park, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on Tuesday, September 25, 1951, in Michoacan, Mexico.
Jesse was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Denise Janik on January 20, 1984, in Rockford, IL. Jesse worked in the Rockford area as a CNC machine operator for over 35 years. Jesse enjoyed working on cars, fishing, boxing, watching action movies, and cooking, especially his signature Taco Casserole. He loved spending time with his wife and family, going out to eat, and listening to music.
Jesse was known for his huge heart, love of animals, and helping others. Survivors include his wife, Denise Contreras; children, Jennifer Pigott, Stephanie Contreras, Andrea Contreras, Jessica (Brad) Davis, and Michelle (Lucas) Burgess; grandchildren, Gavin, Elena, Christian, and Roman.
Service at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. to service time. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Rockford.
