Isla J. (Losey) Minns, 86, of Loves Park passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019, in her home, surrounded by family. Born October 3, 1932, in Canton, WI, the daughter of Glenn and Irma (Candler) Losey. Graduated from Cameron High School, Class of 1950. Following graduation, she moved to the Rockford area. Married Robert H. Minns on November 3, 1956, in Dubuque, Iowa. Formerly employed by Woodward Governor for 7 years. Part owner of Sahara Tavern, with her husband, for 27 years. Isla loved spending time with family. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, watching Hogan’s Heroes and was an avid reader. Survivors include her daughter, Beth (Bob) Larsen of Loves Park; grandchildren, Lindsey (Adam) Reimer of South Beloit, Jason Larsen of Rockford, Cory (Shawn) Engesetter of Rockton and Adam Engesetter of Roscoe; great-grandchildren, Audrey, MaKenna, Kayli, Saydee, Avaleigh, Jaxon, Hazel, Greyson and Lane; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband; daughter, Becky Engesetter; and brother, Jack Losey. Special thanks to Northern Illinois Hospice.
Service at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 11:30 a.m. to service time. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
