Ingrid Marie Clark, 71, of Loves Park passed into the loving arms of her savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 25, 2020, after a courageous 13-year battle with cancer. Born July 21, 1948, in Morris, the daughter of Sigurd Norman and Florence Mae (Houghtby) Larsen. Ingrid was a child of Christian missionaries, spending much of her early life in Cameroon, Africa, until returning to the U.S. to attend Waldorf College in Iowa. She later graduated from the RN program at Norfolk General Hospital in Virginia. Married Daniel Eugene Clark on August 2, 1975, in Ottawa. Employed as a registered nurse by Rockford Memorial Hospital and numerous area nursing homes, retiring in 2012. She loved all the residents she served at the area nursing homes. Member of the Refuge Church. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Daniel; daughter, Rachel (Ryan) Welden; son, Timothy Daniel Clark; grandchildren, Gabriel, Levi, Ephraim and Asher; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents. Our family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and medical professionals who have been agents of mercy to Ingrid in her pursuit of health. We would also like to offer a special thanks to each member of the Mercy Health at Home Hospice, who were as angels, not only to Ingrid, but to us as well.
Private family services held. Burial in Argyle Scottish Cemetery, Caledonia. A public memorial celebration will occur at a time and place yet to be determined.
