Howard Eugene Milburn, 91, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 20, 2025. He was one of three children born to Clifford and L. Lucille (Hunt) Milburn on May 25, 1934, in Mystic, IA. Howard married Katherine I. Billman on November 13, 1952, in Rockford, IL. He was a self-employed siding contractor for more than 50 years. Howard loved being around people and telling stories of his many adventures in life. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, country music, concerts, and woodworking. Howard was an avid NASCAR fan. Survivors include his sons, Robert Milburn, Mike Milburn, and Chris (Karen) Milburn; daughter, Luanne (David) Schafer; grandchildren, Corey Milburn, Kelly Milburn, Courtney Milburn, Kyle (Jessica) Milburn, Matt (Vanessa) Schafer, and Tim Schafer; great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Brooklyn, Genevieve, John Thomas, Berkley, Annie, Emmett, and Leo; sister, Jacquetta Shaffer; sisters-in-law, Mickey Billman and Norma Billman; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; wife, Katherine; sister, Rosalie; and grandson, Adam Milburn.

Service at 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2025, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park.
