Herman W. Peaslee, Sr.
Herman W. Peaslee, Sr., 92, of Rockford, IL, was called home Friday, August 11, 2023. Born May 17, 1931, in LaCrosse, WI, the son of Thomas M. and Alma (Bankes) Peaslee. Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. Employed by Hamilton Sunstrand for more than 30 years, retiring in 1986. Member of Firstborn Ministries, Loves Park VFW, and UAW. Herman loved working on cars, bike rides, watching golf and westerns. Survivors include his daughters, Betty (Chuck) Thompson, and Debbie Sue Kennedy; son, Herman (Lori) Peaslee, Jr.; numerous grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-great, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; sister, Della Stuhr; and beloved pet, Bandit. Predeceased by his parents; son, Roger Peaslee, Sr.; daughter, Dorothy Lake; grandsons, Junior Peaslee, and Nicholas McDonald.
Memorial service at noon Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 11 a.m. to service time.
