ROCKFORD - Harry G. Hultgren, 89, of Rockford passed away Monday, Jan. 5, 2015. Born May 2, 1925, in Burlington, Iowa, son of Gustav and Esther (Ericksen) Hultgren. Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. Married Wilma L. Short on April 18, 1946, in Dubuque, Iowa. Owned and operated Roc-Tex Oil Company for many years. Retired from South Central Oil Company. Charter member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially with his brother, Walter. Survivors include sons, Larry (Pamela) and Greg (Johnna) Hultgren, all of Rockford; grandchildren, Aleesha (Brandon) Pohl, Lindsay (Mark) Mallo and Emilio Borgetti; four great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Hultgren of Rockford; sister-in-law, Mary Jayne Hultgren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his wife; sisters, Edith (John) Grans, Gudrun (Cecil) Parker, Alice (Bill) Johnson and Eleanor (Leroy) Dearth; brothers, Robert (Juanita) and Roy Hultgren; and sister-in-law, Lois Hultgren. The family wishes to thank the staff at Fairhaven, the Dr.’s at SwedishAmerican Hospital Heart Center and especially the nurses.
 
 Service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
