Harold Voy

Harold J. Voy, 89, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016, in his home. Born December 30, 1926, in Rockford, the son of Alfred and Jessie (Boyer) Voy. Veteran of the U.S. Army and remained involved with the American Legion. Married the love of his life Geraldine T. Scully on May 29, 1954. Retired from ComEd. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. He also enjoyed dancing with his bride of 62 years. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, June Barbara Persson.

Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 101 North Main Street, Ohio, IL. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2016, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
