Harold G. Wingo, Sr., 81, of Loves Park died Thursday, January 28, 2016, in The Atrium. Born June 18, 1934, in Spruce Pine, AL., the son of Samuel J. and Jessie Lou (Dill) Wingo. Married Mary Graham on March 2, 1963, in Rockford. Employed as a drywall finisher, retiring from Bertel-Peterson Construction. After retirement, Harold and Mary moved to Florida where he continued his profession as a drywall finisher. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed trapshooting and hunting. Member of Plug & Pellet Sportsman’s Club. Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, Dannie Wight, Vickie (Melvin) Osborne, Gary Wingo, James Wight, Gene (Donnica) Wingo and Mike (Melanie) Wingo; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Hawley, Sara Resenbeck, Shirley (Johnny) Johnson, Jeanette (Jim) Hicks, Nancy (David) Coyne and Kathy (Phil) Meseck; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; grandchildren, Brittany Wingo and Brody Wingo; brothers-in-law, Tommy Hawley and Ralph Resenbeck; and brothers-in-law, Jim Hicks and David Coyne who recently passed away.
