Gwendolyn "Gwen" Doolan

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Faye Doolan, 84, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Born February 24, 1932, in Flint, Mich., the daughter of William Jesse and Margaret (Robb) Barnett.  Married Patrick James Doolan on February 14, 1959, in Chicago.  Employed by North Main Animal Hospital and Bergner’s Distribution Center.  Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church, Faith Center and Birthright Association.  Gwen had an open door policy for friends and strangers.  Survivors include sons, Curt (Soraya), Jimi and Shawn (Natasha) Doolan; grandchildren, Andrew, Angela, Ryan, Tanner, Joshua, Michelle, Nicole, Ashley and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Katlyn, Katona, Kevin, Declan, Jeremy, Jace, Darrin, Liberty and Trinity; brother, Jim Barnett; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her husband; sons, Chris and Scott Doolan; daughter, Patricia Haselton; brother, Bob Barnett; sister, Carrie Woodbury.

Service at 11 a.m. Monday, February 13, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.  Visit delehantyfh.com.
