Gregory T. Richardson, 69, of Rockford passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born June 20, 1953, in Hammond, Indiana, the son of John and Ruby (Bunnage) Richardson. Graduated from Florida Air Academy in Meldourne, Florida, in 1970. Veteran of the U.S. Airforce. Retired from Dynamic Transit as a truck driver. During his time as a truck driver, Gregory enjoyed visiting 47 out of 48 continental states and taking pictures of the scenery he would pass. He also enjoyed going to concerts, playing cards with his friends, reading, and watching sports with his son, especially the White Sox and Bears. Survivors include his son, Jared Richardson; nephew, John (Sandi) Richardson; great-niece, Charleigh Richardson; and fiancée, Patricia Higgins. Predeceased by his parents; son, Jordan Richardson; and brother, Larry.
Services will be private. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Loves Park, IL.
