Gloria Jean “GoGo” Dermer, 79, of Rockford, IL, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Born October 7, 1942, in Rockford, the daughter of Everett and Isabelle (Einhorn) Lester. Graduated from East High School. Married Michael Allen Dermer. Member of Temple Beth-El, 500 Group, Jaycees, and Mahjong. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking. Avid Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include her brothers, Ken Lester of Machesney Park, IL, and Phil (Kathy) Manni of St. Joseph, MI; sister, Adabelle Scarpitto of Rockford; sisters-in-law, Judy Schy of Glenview, IL, Brenda Dermer of Belvidere, IL, and Syril (Rick) Boyd of Rockford; brother-in-law, Charles Brackett of Winnebago, IL; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Predeceased by her husband, Michael; son, Todd; sister, Patricia Brackett; brother, Ronald Lester; sister-in-law, Sylvia Lester; and brothers-in-law, Robert Scarpitto, Jerry Dermer and Charles Schy. The family wishes to thank Dana, Jeremy, and Isabella Johnson, for their time, love, and care that was given to Gloria. A special thank you to Sheryl and Jack Masters, Terry Hawes, Jerry and Connie Paris for all you did. Also, thank you to Northern Illinois Hospice.
