Geraldine “Jeri” C. Billo, 81, of Loves Park passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018. Born August 13, 1936, in Rockford, the daughter of Rudolph and Mary (Doyle) Foltman. Married Joseph A. Billo on August 12, 1978, in Rockford. Employed by the Rockford Housing Authority as an administrative assistant for the development office for 18 years, a job she loved and a team she enjoyed working with. Jeri loved spending time with her 5 daughters, grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Jeri’s girls meant the world to her and you never saw her without at least one of them or her sister, Darlene. She loved traveling with family and enjoyed recent trips to Galena and Fontana with the entire crew. Laughter was a part of every family gathering and she never got enough of it. Her contagious smile, great cookies and other treats will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. The team at Neighbors who treated her like royalty made her Wednesday and Friday visits very special. But most of all, she had a work ethic that compared to none, at 81 still working fulltime and loving it. She believed in a full life and lived it every day, she will be missed beyond words. God Bless you mom, rest in peace, and bring that beautiful smile to heaven, love your girls. Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia Olson, Valorie (Mickey) Kalen, Debra Traver and Carol (Jim) Shumaker, all of Rockford, and Victoria Anderson of Texas; grandchildren, Tori (Jeff Belt) Black, Megan Olson, Justin Shumaker and Brendan Shumaker; great-grandson, Grady Sullivan; sister, Darlene Larson; several nieces and nephews.
