Gayle Iris Dredge

Gayle Iris Dredge, 72, of Loves Park, IL, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in her home. She was born on Saturday, July 18, 1953, in Rockford, IL, daughter of Jerome and Darlene (Swisher) Estabrook. Gayle earned her Master’s Degree in education at National Lewis University in 1988. She married William “Bill” Dredge on August 9, 1975, in Loves Park, IL. Employed as a teacher by the Harlem School District for 32 years. Avid Chicago Cubs fan. Gayle enjoyed watching murder mysteries and doing puzzles. Survivors include her husband, Bill; son, Joe (Angie Thiesen) Dredge; daughter, Catherine Dredge; sister, Susan Estabrook; brother, Scott Estabrook; brothers-in-law, Tom Dredge and Dave Dredge; several nieces and nephews; and special companions, Coco and Quincy. Predeceased by her parents.

Memorial service at 11 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2026, at Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Ave., Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Inurnment in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park, IL. Memorial visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Harlem High School, 1 Huskie Circle, Machesney Park, IL. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
