Gary Longanecker

Gary E. Longanecker, 76, of Loves Park passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born December 12, 1939, in Sterling, son of Herschel and Alta Mae (Robinson) Longanecker. Married Doreen Tresemer on April 25, 1987. Gary retired from Winnebago County in 2010 and was a member of the Steel Pigs. Survivors include his wife, Doreen; children, Kimberly (Jeff) Jul, Teri (Mark) Jennings and Darin Longanecker; grandchildren, Daesha, Alexandra, Nick, Griffin, Mackenzie, Emily, Abby, Kyle, Ethan and Sydney; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard(Beth) Longanecker. Predeceased by his parents.

Memorial visitation from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 7, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
