G. Easton

G. Evelyn Easton, 87, of Loves Park passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family Friday, January 22, 2016. Born October 27, 1928, in Escanaba, MI., the daughter of William B. and Gladys (Christianson) Bentson. Married Maurice L. “Morrie” Easton on March 1, 1948, in Rockford. Evelyn was employed by Post Publishing and Rockford Journal for over 25 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Survivors include daughter, Kristie Easton-Jones; son, Michael (Amy) Easton; grandchildren, Ian (Mia) Easton, Colin Easton and Ryan (Kristin Colloton) Jones; great-grandchildren, Kelly and Grace Easton; sister; Selma Jezierski; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband; brother; and 2 sisters.

Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 28, in Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Ave., with visitation from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial in Argyle Scottish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park.
