Eugene "Gene" Robinson

Eugene “Gene” L. Robinson, 60, of Rockford passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, in his home. Born May 12, 1956, in Rockford, the son of Chester and Adella (Ketchum) Robinson.  Married Katherine Cook on July 27, 1974, in Rockford.  Formerly employed W.A.  Whitney.  Employed by Barber-Colman.  Volunteered at Rockford J.C.’s. and was an umpire and coached baseball at Ken Rock Community Center.  He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and a computer enthusiast.  Survivors include his wife, Katherine; son, Joshua (Jeri) Robinson; sisters, Ruth Morton and Becky (Paul) Overlin; brother, Rich (Janet) Robinson; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents; and sister, Charlotte.
