Dr. Eugene A. Bartelt, 103, of Loves Park, IL, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, in Alpine Fireside Health Center. Born September 25, 1920, in Elderon, WI, the son of Arthur H. and Irene L. (Brehmer) Bartelt. Married Louise L. Zoellner on December 25, 1943, in Pulcifer, WI. Dr. Bartelt was a chiropractor and founded Loves Park Family Chiropractic. Member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Christian Chiropractic Association, and several other community organizations. He served as a Winnebago County Special Sheriff’s Deputy. Survivors include niece, Nancy Herold of Arizona; and several other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents; wife; and son, Thomas J. Bartelt.
