Ethel Elizabeth Goodrick
Ethel Elizabeth Goodrick, age 82, of Machesney Park passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, surrounded by family. She was born April 13, 1940, in Charleston, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Sidney Hendon and Frances (Booth) Hendon. She married Robert L. Goodrick in 1958. Ethel was a beautician that attended Alberto's Beauty School in 1966. She owned and operated her own local business for many years. Ethel had a very special relationship with her customers and fellow stylists. Ethel is survived by her son, Gary Goodrick; daughter, Judy Goodrick-Veitch; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and dearly loved friends who will sadly miss her. Ethel is predeceased by her parents; husband, Robert Goodrick; three brothers, Wesley Hendon, Bobby Hendon, and James Hendon; granddaughter, Jasmine; and great-grandson, Brennan.
Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Cremation rites accorded. A memorial will be established.
