Eric Michael Diamond, 48, of Oak Park, passed away Friday, June 3, 2022. Born August 30, 1973, in Rockford, the son of Michael Diamond and Bonnie L. Anderson. Eric was a true, free-spirit who explored so much in life, leading him to find his true professional passion in real estate development and owning and operating Ooda Development, Inc. Eric was a lifelong adventurer that loved the outdoors, biking, hiking, and traveling, as well as had a deep interest in environmental issues and sustainability. He was a voracious learner and talented artist that enjoyed reading and photography. Family and friends were most important to Eric, and he had the wonderful quality to make someone feel like they were the only person in the room. Survivors include his mother, Bonnie Anderson; father, Michael (Ann) Diamond; fiancée, Mallory Lemmer; sister, Sarah (Chad DeMarb) Diamond; stepbrothers, Brian (Jennifer Chan) Diamond and Michael (Emalee) Diamond; step-nephews, Sebastian Martin and Charlie Diamond; grandfather, Richard Diamond; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his grandparents, Floyd and Margaret Allen, Barb (Don) Peterson and Louise Diamond.

Visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022, in Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL 61111. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
