Eric Brass

Eric Matthew "Roadblock" Brass, 52, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at his home.  He was born on June 6, 1973, in Rockford, the son of Alvin M. Clarke, III, and Cathy (Michaelson) Feehan and stepson of Tim Feehan.  Eric was adopted and lovingly raised by Arlan E. and Sharon L. (Harwick) Brass.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and attended Maywood Evangelical Free Church.  Eric was employed by United Parcel Service.  A passionate Star Wars fan and collector, he also enjoyed gaming and playing his bass guitar.  He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.  Eric is survived by his daughter, Shaunna Brass; his birth parents; his adoptive parents; his sister, Leslie (Joel) Peltz; stepsister, Rebecca (Seth) Gilmore; half-sister, Shannon (Clarke) Bland; half-brother, Alvin M. (Natalie) Clarke, IV; and niece, Erin (Seth) Lindstrom.

Funeral service will be at noon Monday, July 28, 2025, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 11 a.m. to service time.  Cremation rites accorded.
