Elsie D. Bartman

Elsie D. Bartman, 84, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Swedish American Health. Born Saturday, November 15, 1941, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Omar and Fannie May (Wright) Plock. Elsie enjoyed car rides, road trips, fishing, and a root beer float. She loved her family. Survivors include her children, Nancy (Herschel) Brown, James Lewis, Paul Lewis, and Jonathan Bartman; grandchildren, DuWayne Moore, Kyle Lewis, Amanda Fermanich, Jerry Vandiver, Kristie Vandiver, Jimmy Lewis, Jessica Vandiver, and Josh Lewis; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins. Predeceased by her parents; and children, Debbie and Delores.

Graveside service at 11 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2026, in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
