Elodie Lorraine Zeien, 79, of Machesney Park passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022, in her home. Born January 4, 1943, in Rockford, the daughter of Charles Peter and Lorraine Marva (Batterson) LaGaisse, Sr. Graduated from Belvidere High School and Rock Valley College. Married Paul Thomas Zeien, Sr., on September 2, 1961. Employed by North Boone School District #200 as a secretary, retiring in 2005. Member of Riverside Community Church and Woman of the Moose in Belvidere. She enjoyed sewing, painting, needle felting, cooking, baking, and traveling. Elodie loved being with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Paul; sons, Paul (Jane) Zeien, Jr., and Scott (Kimberly) Zeien; grandchildren, Nathan Zeien, Nicole (Cole) Roper, Savannah Zeien, Logan (Ashton) Zeien, and Rachel DeLeon; great-grandchildren, Annaleigh Zeien, Chase Zeien, and Blakely Roper; siblings, Stanley Scott, LaVerne LaGaisse, and Charles LaGaisse, Jr. Predeceased by her parents.

Service at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022, in Riverside Community Church, 6816 North 2nd Street, Machesney Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Highland Gardens, Belvidere. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
